There are many different types of designs you can create with us, with just as many types of designers, each equipped with a different set of skills specialized to meet your design needs. This is why different designers may work on your request queue sometimes!

Here we'll discuss the difference between these types of creatives:

  1. Graphic Designer

  2. Custom Illustrator

  3. Presentation Designer

  4. Motion Graphics Designer

So what's the difference?

  • Our Graphic Designers work on Graphic Design Request Types

  • They make use of stock images as a base for the design they'll create

  • The stock images will be modified to create a unique design/graphic for your use

  • The quality of the design will depend on the stock images provided to our designer (either by using our in-platform stock images library to select a stock image or uploading your own assets)

  • If a reference style is provided, the closest stock image available with a similar style will be used as a base

Limitations of Graphic Designers

  • They do not create illustrations from scratch

  • They do not manually trace from a photo or image

  • They do not create illustrations that require hand-drawn or extremely customized graphics - these requests will be handed to an illustrator

Examples:

  • Our Illustrators work on Custom Illustration Request Types

  • They specialize in creating advanced graphics or drawings from scratch

  • They do not need to make use of stock images

  • Designs or artworks created are 100% original

  • Designs or artworks are highly customized based on your exact specifications/instructions

  • If a reference style is provided, the illustrator can create an illustration based on the provided style

  • They can manually trace from a photo or image

Limitations of Custom Illustrators

Limitations of Presentation Designer

  • They do not do graphic design work such as layout design, photo editing, text layouts, etc - these requests will be handed to a graphic designer

  • They do not do graphic design work that are not presentations (eg: They do not create posters in Powerpoint format) - these requests will be handed to a graphic designer and will be delivered in standard image format (JPG, GIF, PNG, and/or Adobe PSD/AI)

  • Exclusive to our Premium and Power plans

  • Our motion graphic artists work on Motion Graphic Request Types

  • They specialize in creating motion graphics or animated graphics videos in Adobe After Effects

  • They can deliver not only MOV and MP4 format, but also convert the motion graphic into a GIF!
