The Design Pickle app for Microsoft Teams allows you to manage your design requests easily, all within your Teams workspace! Here’s a quick guide to help you get the app set up, and walk you through all the features and commands you can start using right away. Note: To acquire our Teams app, reach out to [email protected].

Let's get started!

1. First, you will need your integration key.

To get your Integration Key, follow the steps in this guide, specifically the section 'Where Can I Find My Integration Key?'

👉 Take note of your integration key as you will use it later.

2. After installing the app, you can start using commands like “Create Request,” “Get Requests,” or “View Queue.” The first time you try to use any of these commands, the app will ask you for your Integration Key.

3. Enter your integration key (or API key) in the text field, then hit 'Submit'.

  1. Initiate a Request

In Microsoft Teams, type “@Design Pickle,” and you'll see a popup with available prompts. Select Create Request.

  2. Choose Your Request Type

After initiating the request, you’ll be prompted to choose a request type. You can search for the specific type you need by name.

  3. Fill Out the Request Form

Once your request type is selected, a form will appear asking for the following details:

    • Request name

    • Directions

    • Copy

    • Media links

    • Sizes (multi-select dropdown)

    • Formats (multi-select dropdown)

  4. After filling out the form, click Send to my designer to submit the request. You’ll receive a confirmation message directly in the Teams channel.

  1. View Active Requests

To view your active requests, type “@Design Pickle” in Teams and choose Get Requests from the popup.

  2. You’ll be presented with a dropdown list of your Active requests

  3. Select the request you want to view and click Open Selected Request.

  4. From here, you’ll see a card with two options: View Request or Add Direction(s)

  5. View Request opens the request in the Design Pickle website, while Add Direction(s) and Media allows you to update your request with more details.

  6. The overflow menu (button with 3 dots) will give you options to cancel the request or mark it as complete.

  1. To check the top three requests in your queue, type “@Design Pickle” and select View Queue from the popup.

  2. A card will display key information about your top three requests. You can also click a button to view all requests in the Design Pickle Jar.

New Deliverables

You will receive a notification in Teams when your designer sends a new deliverable.
