With an Integration Key (a.k.a. API Token), you can use our API, also known as an Application Programming Interface. This interface allows different applications to easily exchange data and services without users needing to understand the technical details.

Your Design Pickle Integration Key is a code that serves as a unique identifier for your Design Pickle account.

First, you must be an account admin to update these settings. If you are a member or manager, please contact the admin of your Design Pickle account.

STEPS:

  1. In the Design Pickle Platform, head to your My Profile page

  2. In the Integrations Key panel, type in the name of your new integration key.

  3. Hit the Add New Key button.

  4. Once the new key has been added, go to the Actions menu.

  5. Select “Show Key

  6. After clicking Show Key you will see a long string of tiny numbers and letters. That is your new Integration Key.

  7. Take note of your Integration Key as you will be using it later on in the guide.

Although your Integration Key may look like gibberish, it's your new best friend for automating your workflow.

1. Automate your workflows through Zapier

With the help of your Integration Key, you can use Zapier to submit design requests for you automatically!

For example, you can use Zapier to connect Google Sheets and Design Pickle so that every time you create a new row in Google Sheets, it sends a new request to your designer.

2. Use our API documentation to make it your own

If you’re tech-savvy, check out our API documentation here, which you can use to build Design Pickle functionality into your own application.

Example: In your application, you can create a similar form to our form at jar.designpickle.com and customize it to match your branding so your clients can get started with submitting requests to your Design Pickle designer.

Step 1:

Log in to Zapier, and create a new Zap with Design Pickle for one of the applications. In this example, I'm connecting Asana to Design Pickle.

Step 2:

Click the Design Pickle section, and Zapier will prompt you to connect an account. Under "Choose Account," you'll want to select Add a New Account. When you click this option, a pop-up window will appear:

Step 3:

Add your Integration Key to the API Token text field, and hit "Yes, Continue" - your Integration Key will be connected, and you're ready to start Zapping!
